The art of a broken heart

Everything gonna break your heart to pieces, everything you love gonna crash your heart to pieces and step on it as if it never existed

Everything gonna break you heart, whether its the song you put on repeat, or the cigarettes you smoke all night long

Everything gonna break you heart, whether its realising that your mother left you when you were just six, or your dad passing away when you wanted him to stay a little longer

Everything is gonna break you heart eventually, the kiss that you wanted but you found them giving to somebody new

Or the love you begged for and they saved for someone better

Their scent on your sheets and the memories you made together

Their laugh and your fear that you may one day forget how did it sound like

Every street you walked in and every plan you promised to do with them

They all gonna break you heart mercilessly

Everything gonna break your heart, the look that was never meant for you and them calling you by another name

The fact that you’ve always been a rebound and never the only one, and the late night talks about your silly little fears

The secrets you got out of your heart and the fact that you’re such a fragile soul

It all will break you in the end.

Your heart is a glass that is meant to be broken

And perhaps a mosaic that people have stolen its pieces

With no question asked and no sorry hanging on the door

I got my heart broken in every possible way, yet i enjoyed every second of you making a tragedy out of the masterpiece i once called heart.
